There’s a variety of soundfont files available on the Internet as free downloads. My search led me to the theatre organ soundfont files offered by Bruce Miles. Bruce did a very good job of emulating theatre pipe organ sounds but I wanted to create my own. A good friend of mine, the late George Pasquaye, owned a Wurlitzer Style D theatre pipe organ, to which he had added five additional ranks of pipes, bringing the total to eleven ranks. I began my project using samples from his installation.

I also had an opportunity to record samples of the organ at the Paramount Theatre in Middletown, NY. The Open Diapason, Concert Flute, Orchestral Oboe, Vox Humana and English Horn are examples of the Paramount organ sound. Here’s an sample of the results I’ve gotten so far.

Numerous requests for my soundfont files have convinced me to make them available to anyone desiring the sound of my demo song. There will not be any charge for these files but, in all fairness, the Paramount organ fund should receive some compensation.
